The WBEF aims to offer an opportunity for academics and business practitioners to meet colleagues from around the world, to share and to discuss new thinking, pressing issues and research findings in the field of business ethics.
The 1st WBEF, jointly organized by HKBU and University of Macau (UM) held in 2006, was developed as one of the events at the occasion of HKBU’s 50th anniversary and UM’s 25th anniversary. It was agreed that the Business Schools of HKBU and UM co-owned the brand name of “World Business Ethics Forum (WBEF)” and both Schools were the “Co-founders” of the WBEF.
The WBEF is organized every other year; HKBU and UM take turns to be the host. The WBEF has now become one of the signature events of both Schools, and one of the major academic conferences in the area of business ethics recognized internationally. It is HKBU’s turn to host the 6th WBEF in December 11 – 13, 2016.
